Me? Dressed as a tree? In aid of biodiversity? Shurely shome mishtake? The things I do in the call of duty!
Originally about our 2007 - 2008 round the world trip without flying, during which we employed every mode of transport available and revelled in the slow movement through landscape, culture, people and language rather than just passing over it all in an aluminium sausage! This blog is all about the joy of slow and low carbon travel...

Slow Planet...
I'm proud to announce my first blog on the new website Slow Planet. The brainchild of the excellent Carl Honore (author of 'In praise of slow'), Geir Berthelsen the Founder of the World Institute of Slowness, and the creative team at Dale-Bang, the aim is to set up a global hub for the growing international slow movement. No hierarchies, no centralised control, just somewhere people can share ideas and approaches to slowing down and find some common antidotes to the frenetic pace of modern life...can't you just feel the tension ebbing away already? Check out my blog here. The first of many I hope, but hey, there's no rush...
